Volvo Connect

This project was a native app proposal for Volvo Mexico, designed to connect directly to vehicles through an OBD II device plugged into the car’s UBI port. The app provided real-time access to key vehicle metrics such as fuel level, battery status, average speed, and geolocation.

Additional features included a full diagnostic overview, gamification to encourage safe driving habits, a rewards program, service scheduling, emergency assistance, and access to the Volvo Boutique marketplace.

My role focused on the user interface design, with a particular emphasis on presenting complex technical data in a clear, user-friendly format. The main challenge was integrating multiple features into a single, cohesive experience while maintaining ease of use for a broad audience.

Although the project was well received during development, it remained in the proposal phase due to the operational pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
